Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces growing in strength within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of heroes who will split off from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor swore a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Explorers and Strategists tables.
Audiences can anticipate finding out which players will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
