The star has donated the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound Mercury Prize cash to the trust for venues, which operates to protect the Britain's small music venues.
He was presented with the cheque on 16 October as his third album People Watching was declared the outstanding release of the previous year.
Fender has decided to donate the funds to the MVT, in recognition of the vital role local spots had in his initial steps.
"As an artist couldn't be pursuing what I am doing today if it hadn't been for all the gigs I performed around the area, and beyond, when I was beginning," stated the artist. "These venues are legendary, but they are struggling."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these spaces have ceased operations – roughly 16% of the total UK scene.
In the last year, major artists such as the band Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the Music Venues Trust in its attempts to support the industry, by applying a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which supports independent venues.
He also joined in, collecting in excess of £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to help 38 local spots across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The money assisted spaces that were dealing with imminent closure due to difficulties arising from water damage, fire incidents and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and sound issues.
Other venues obtained funding support in improving infrastructure and technical equipment that directly benefitted artists and concertgoers.
"The concept that funds from concerts in major spaces supports the local stages, where it kicks off for musicians like me, is just sensible," the star has commented.
Fender is not the first artist to give his honor funds to charitable organizations.
In Pulp earned the trophy in the mid-90s for their album Different Class, vocalist Jarvis Cocker stated that the group would give their prize money to the organization War Child.
During 2002, rapper and singer Ms Dynamite split her bounty between multiple charities, such as the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell organization.
"I also gave a £1,000 to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics class, because I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and they lacked new equipment," she shared with outlets.
In recent years, the band gave their funds to the youth organization that nurtured their act, in addition to other grassroots music organisations.
And 1994 winners M People donated their award to a MS organization after a close contact was identified with the condition.
"The victory was ample," stated singer Small. "The prize was the extra but we could do without the extra, because we had the main prize. So our victory touched the lives of others."
In the past week, the trust shared it had saved two small stages in south-east England, by bringing them into community ownership.
One venue in that area and the other in that location were acquired under the community ownership initiative, which is backed by Arts Council England and music fans who purchase "ownership units" in the buildings.
